Prismworks Technology paddled for a good cause during the Yellow Breeches Watershed Association (YBWA) annual creek clean-up event on July 28, 2024.
Prismworks staff joined community members at the Lower Allen Community Park for an afternoon boating excursion to remove tires, recyclables, and trash from the creek. The cleanup not only removes plastic pollution and other household debris, but also engages the public.
“For over a decade, the Yellow Breeches Watershed Association has coordinated an annual creek cleanup,” said Brook Lenker, YBWA Vice President and Cleanup Coordinator. “Participants become more familiar with the marvels of the stream, the dimensions of pollution, and the importance of reducing the use of plastic.”
Over 30 volunteers participated in the clean-up this year. Prismworks currently holds a corporate membership for the YBWA.
“It was great to get our staff out on the water together for a good cause,” said Mike Glumac, CEO for Prismworks Technology. “The YBWA does a nice job of coordinating this event. We had a blast cleaning up the creek and couldn’t have asked for better weather!”
