Bruce Stratten, Director of Information Technology for Bala Consulting Engineers, first encountered Prismworks in 2013 at a VMware seminar. After hearing Prismworks President Mark Crescenzi present, Stratten invited him to visit Bala’s headquarters just outside of Philadelphia, Pa.
Crescenzi delivered a presentation on the value of deploying a VMware virtual server infrastructure to Bala staff members, and soon after the relationship between the multi-discipline engineering firm and Prismworks was solidified.
“Prismworks has supported Bala for many years with many facets of our IT operation,” said Stratten. “[They’re] mostly concentrated in VMware support, but active directory, networking, and security have all been included in their services.”
While Bala stays busy providing sustainable and technologically advanced solutions to their clients, the firm relies on Prismworks for overflow projects and anything beyond their IT staff’s expertise. Prismworks also serves as Bala’s trusted IT advisor for budgeting and staying apprised of future developments, said Stratten.
Supporting Bala alongside Crescenzi include Prismworks staff members Josh Morey, COO & Partner, and Implementation Engineer and Technical Lead Nick Wright. Stratten spoke highly of Crescenzi and Morey’s willingness to make themselves available for after-hours support, and commended Wright for his technical diligence.
“Nick is an excellent engineer, and I am always impressed by his responsiveness and detailed messages in reference to any correspondence,” said Stratten.
Prismworks has helped Bala keep their IT infrastructure technologically current, resilient, and redundant to maintain their edge over the competition, said Stratten. Even during high-stress situations, he said Prismworks maintains its high level of service.
